Marlene began her training in the South Bay and continued here in Newport Beach. She understood from an early age that hair is not just an accessory – great hair is the key to feeling beautiful. Early on in her career she took classes with Moroccan Oil, Bumble and Bumble, Evo, Goldwell, and Babe, advancing her knowledge base and creative skill to the next level. This has allowed her to perfect the techniques of cut and color and her pursuit has ceased to be one of her main focal points. Truly passionate about her chosen career, Marlene is always on top of the trends. It’s one of her personal goals to continue to grow and excel in her craft and to ultimately share all that she learns. She is Evo’s salon ambassador working as an inside educator, training and teaching product knowledge. With a love and interest for all facets of this industry, Marlene also specializes in corrective color, Brazilian blowouts, extensions, and men’s haircut. As one of the salon’s men’s hair specialists, she has a keen eye to a perfect man’s cut. Marlene also enjoys styling and updos that range from extraordinary and dramatic, to elegant and polished. Marlene uses hair as her canvas, bringing a distinctive aesthetic and fresh approach to draw out each client’s unique beauty. Because of her lively passion for hair, Marlene strives to make each and every client’s experience unique and enjoyable. Keeping up with the latest trends in fashion and hair allows her to successfully consult her clients, guiding them to a look that is both functional and fashionable. She is driven to find something that is flattering and yet not burdensome on your daily routine, making a beautiful look part of your every day.
